I am people watching at a bus stop near the beach when I see her walk by. Her face is so striking that I feel compelled to sketch her. The image is burned into my mind, and I begin to notice her around town.
A week passes before I have the courage to approach her.
"I'm sorry, uhm, this might seem strange, but you are just so beautiful, I have to know your name," I say, stumbling over my words.
She eyes my sketchbook warily before giving me a smile that makes me weak in the knees.
"Stella," she says.
I think it suits her.
Fiorenza Lancin is (c) me.
Done in Adobe Photoshop CS3 extended on my WACOM Graphire 3. About 2 hours to completion, discounting the pencil sketch. First thing I've done in a while that I can't stop staring at. I miss painting.
